Our Club

"We strive to create a positive and enjoyable family environment where each swimmer is encouraged to put forth an honest effort to improve their swimming ability and is challenged to meet their full potential."

We believe in creating an environment where each swimmer can develop to their full potential and grow emotionally, socially and physically. For some swimmers this may mean striving for medals, for others it may mean getting into shape to achieve or surpass last year's times and for still others it may simply mean learning all the strokes. Although there is no guarantee that each individual goal will be reached, everyone can develop self esteem through the process of striving to achieve a goal.

We utilize the strengths of our members to provide a progressive, participative, evaluative and continuously improving organization.

The Cloverdale Tritons were established in 1990 by the Pacific Sea Wolves Winter Swim Club and used the PSW name for four years. In 1994 we chose to change our name to the Cloverdale Tritons Summer Swim Club (CLO) and established an identity separate from the PSW winter club. Our team colours are teal, black and white. Our team logo is King Triton.

Since 1990, the swim club has challenged young people to develop their swimming skills in both developmental and competitive programs. Building character and discipline through vigorous training, personal challenges and competition. If finding a sport that promotes individual excellence, commitment, discipline and character is what you want then the Cloverdale Tritons is for you.

Cloverdale Tritons was the first swim club of Olympian Brittany Reimer, and is proud of its swimmers who move on to careers in swimming with the Canadian National Swim team, and scholarships with Canadian and American universities.

We train at Greenaway outdoor pool during the summer season and the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex pool during the winter season. We are always looking for young people who want to swim and have fun. The Cloverdale Tritons Summer Swim Club is a member of the BCSSA, the BC Summer Swimming Association, which boasts a membership of over 3,000 swimmers from all over the province.

Our club is one of seventy clubs in the British Columbia Summer Swimming Association (BCSSA). BCSSA is divided into eight regions and the Cloverdale Tritons belong to the Fraser South Region.
