Coach Isabella - Head Coach

I am beyond thrilled to be the Head Coach for the Cloverdale Tritons this Summer 2018!

I have been involved in swimming now for 14 years and was a competitive swimmer competing at the Age National level. In the past, I swam with the Lincoln Vulcans Swim Club in the United Kingdom until 2006 then, after moving to Canada, swam with the Pacific Sea Wolves up until 2015. I was a student-athlete at Simon Fraser University and swam on their Varsity Team for the 2015-2016 year. The last two summers I coached for the White Rock Amateur Swimming Association and, as of Summer 2017, moved to the Cloverdale Tritons Swim Club as the Assistant Head Coach. I am actively coaching throughout the year as the Head Coach for the Cloverdale Tritons Summer Swim Club winter program and as the Youth Assistant coach for the Pacific Sea Wolves. Currently, I attend Kwantlen Polytechnic University majoring in Criminology and am in my third year of study.

I am so excited to work with each swimmer on improving their skills to allow achievement at every level of swimming. This season will be packed with lots of training, racing, and fun to not only help swimmers better them selves in the water but to also help them grow as individuals.

Coach Alex - Assistant Head Coach

Hi everyone my name is Alex Wheatcroft, I am this seasons assistant head coach!

I have been officially coaching with the Tritons for one year and have volunteer coached with the club since 2012. I am NCCP level 1 certified and also possess current National Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor certifications. Alongside Coaching competitive swimming I have been a water safety instructor/ Lifeguard for the City of surrey for the past two years. I swam competitively with the cloverdale tritons for fourteen years and during that time spent three years in winter competition on the Simon Fraser Aquatics team. I ultimately returned to summer swimming so I could remain a multi sport athlete. I played Soccer and Basketball alongside swimming since a young age and value the learnings from a team dynamic. This season I can't wait to work with my new team, the Tritons coaching staff.

I’m excited to spend the summer of 2018 as a Triton once again and look forward to reaching new goals with our swimmers in a energetic and positive environment!

Coach Renae - Assistant Coach

Hello Triton family!

My name is Renae and I am thrilled to be apart of the Tritons this year! I am a student-athlete at University of Alberta studying psychology & sociology and with a concentration in developmental/youth counselling. I’m a part of the Golden Bears & Pandas swim team at U of A and absolutely adore being a varsity athlete as it has always been a dream of mine.

I have been competing as a winter club swimmer for the past 11 years and my home team is the Pacific Sea Wolves. One of my biggest accomplishments of my swimming career is that this past year I came 7th at Canadian World Trials 2017, as well this summer I’m planning to attend Canadian Swimming Trials 2018. I have been a competitor at a national level since I was 12 and have had the pleasure to race against some of the best athletes in the country.

Swimming is my passion and I plan on using that passion to assist in the development of our swimmers skills, focusing on fitness in and out of the water, all the while mastering the technical aspects of each stroke. I am looking forward to getting to know the team, so please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, as I value communication with swimmers, parents, and my fellow coaching staff!

Coach Kennedy - Assistant Coach

My name is Kennedy Douglas and this is my second year coaching for BCSSA and first year coaching the Cloverdale Tritons.  I have been a swimmer my whole life, starting at the age of 4 I swam for multiple summer clubs. At the age of 9 I was swimming all year round doing both winter and summer for 2 years. I got competitive with the sport and stuck to winter swimming for 5 years. Making provincials and age group nationals for breastroke at the age of 12 was one of my greatest achievements. The year of 2014 I started volunteering then decided to coach summer swimming for the first time last summer.  I am very excited to share my passion for swimming and help everyone reach their goals.
